Pet Photo 2008 Calendars

•Pet Photo 2008 Calendars will be available for sale sometime in early December for $12.00.


VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Date: Ongoing

•Volunteer at various events, run a fundraiser or work on one.

•Dog walkers needed to regularly exercise our furry friends on our beautiful 7-acre property.  Must be 16 years or older and should have experience walking/handling dogs (younger children may be able to volunteer but must be accompanied by an adult).

•Help socialize cats by playing with them in our adoption viewing room.

•To volunteer at the shelter, stop by and fill out a volunteer application form.

Animal Haven alumni is a book star!

•A new book by Marion Machetto called Honeysuckle Hill was recently released and it features a former shelter resident called Tupi.  Tupi the kitty plays a major character in the book which is about an Indian tribe around the town of Shelton, CT.  Tupi and Marion have generously offered to donate $3.00 to us from the sale of each book that is sold at Animal Haven.  

•Autographed copies are at the shelter available for sale. 


Raffle prizes needed!

•Twice a year Animal Haven holds a permitted raffle and we are always seeking donated raffle prizes. We look for prizes that appeal to a wide audience. Gift certificates to stores, restaurants, travel or entertainment venues, or gas cards are always a great prize. Value should begin at approximately $50 and the sky is the limit for a maximum value! GNHCP – The Greater New Haven Cat Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 1996

to address the problems of cat overpopulation, neglect and abuse in our area.  GNHCP provides

spay/neuter assistance for feral, stray and abandoned cats, and promotes responsible pet ownership

through educational workshops.  The organization is comprised solely of volunteers, and is funded
